Adem Dönmez lives and works in Kütahya. He is a professor at Dumlupinar University where he teaches graphic design and animation.

His tile design is a tribute to Anatolian culture. The composition features four vases spouting water, referencing the famed vase in the city center of Kütahya that is decorated as a mosaic in the style of traditional çini. Each vase features hallmarks of Ottoman culture: a tulip, a mosque, a castle, and finally, Dönmez's signature, the personification of Hıdrellez as a round-faced man in a sultan's hat. Hıdrellez is a Turkish folk festival heralding the beginning of spring and commemorating a meeting of the prophets Hızır and Elijah on the earth. Between each vase sprouts a different flower.
